Bismillah

Yep.
We all know how it goes….
You come home on a late night from a party and the fatigue starts to set in.
Yeah, you looked sizzling, had a good hair day, and your makeup was flawless.
You also know you really should get up and wash your face. But the bed looks soooo cozy and your pillow is just calling your nameee-uhhhh. Zzzzzz. REWINDDDD.
Every girl out there, at some point in her life, complains or at least thinks about the health of her facial skin. Really, if you are normal, you do this at least once a week.
This is completely understood. It is hard not to, with the amount of facial perfection blasted at us through the media in every context, whether a commercial features lipstick or disinfectant spray.
With that being said, if you really are concerned with the way your face looks, little habits such as washing off your makeup before bed serve as a means to maintaining your facial beauty and health.
No, cleaning your makeup off will not reward you with CoverGirl model skin, but it will serve to prevent a bunch of the following problems.
Here are a few reasons that will definitely make you reconsider sleeping with your makeup on:
-Clogged Pores: Sleeping without removing your makeup clogs your pores, making them appear larger and leaving your skin dull the next day. This also allows for the development of spotting on your skin.
-Lack of Regeneration: Sleep is the time your skin needs to refresh and rebuild itself. By keeping your makeup on, you are restricting the circulation of oxygen and, in turn, preventing the development of new skin cells.
-Nappy-Face: Keeping your makeup on while sleeping allows for a breeding ground of bacteria to take root on your pillow. The result?
-More frequent breakouts-Larger pores
-Blackheads and pimples
-Colorful pillow
Besides preventing the issues above, removing your makeup ensures that you are also removing all the impurities that your skin picks up throughout the day, from toxins to dust and pollution. The first step to a supple, glowing face is keeping it clean, regardless of how sleepy you are.
